Microneedling

Regenerative & Longevity Medicine Specialists located in Potomac, MD

Microneedling is the controlled micro-damaging of your skin to trigger a natural healing response and encourage increased collagen and elastin production. Microneedling is minimally invasive, only using a vibrating pen device equipped with extremely fine needles to create microscopic injuries in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries trigger the body’s repair process, stimulating the production of new, collagen-rich tissue- leaving you with a more youthful and invigorated look.

As the skin rebuilds itself, it forms stronger, healthier, and more even-toned tissue. The result is a visible improvement in firmness, texture, and overall radiance. Over time, this collagen-rich new skin can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven tone.

Microneedling requires minimal downtime. Immediately after treatment, your skin may appear pink or slightly swollen- similar to a mild sunburn. These effects typically fade within 24-48 hours. We recommend 4 - 6 sessions, each approximately four weeks apart, for acne scar alteration and skin texture improvement. For anti-aging concerns and prevention, we recommend 1 session every four months.
